Access to first job opportunity (Private Sector)

MUVA prepares and facilitates the access of young people, in a situation of socio-economic vulnerability, to their first internship and/or employment opportunities. Recent research shows that one of the greatest barriers to entering the labor market is the lack of professional experience. We therefore work to reduce the social, technical and economic barriers that limit access to decent work opportunities. We develop the personal skills of young people, implement or partner with them to provide technical training and facilitate access to internship and/or employment opportunities in the private sector. Our portfolio of projects in this area is defined according to the profile of the young people, the training time required, as well as the type of profession the participants will be prepared for. MUVA’titude

DURATION > 8-10 MONTHS
Next Course > 22 / 10 / 2022

8–10-month course: 4 months of Soft Skills, with modules on career guidance, health, entrepreneurship and employability; and 6 months of Technical Training in areas such as plumbing, electricity, public relations, secretarial work, cutting and sewing, among others. MUVA’Pro is the same intervention, with a shorter Soft skills, which does not include the modules on health and professional orientation. These young people already start the course with the professional area they wish to work in, previously defined.

(Soft Skills):

DURATION > 3 MONTHS Next COURSE > 22 / 10 / 2022 Our Soft Skills are focused on the development of intra and interpersonal skills. It is an innovative training of approximately 4 months, based on participatory methodologies, particularly aimed at encouraging teamwork and developing self-confidence, with a focus on gender relations. It is important to note that there is a strong emphasis on creative monitoring, evaluation and learning methods, which are periodically used to adapt the programme as necessary, promoting significant impacts regarding the development of agency, communication skills and professional attitudes.

MUVA Link e Sou+ Talento

DURATION > 12 WEEKS Next COURSE > 22 / 10 / 2022 These are projects in which young people develop their employability skills, as well as experience what a specific professional sector expects and demands from its employees. These programmes last approximately 12 weeks. The professional areas in which the project applies are security, table service, reception and customer service.

MUVA Tech

DURATION > 4 MONTHS
Next Course > 22 / 10 / 2022

It is a 4-month project, it enables young women without access to digital to go through a transformation journey, learning to use technology. With the knowledge gained through the project, the young women are better prepared for entry into the world of work. In addition to technical digital skills, MUVA Tech also develops the socio-emotional skills they need to believe that the digital world also belongs to them.
